Tin/Nickel

Chem-tec employs hypoallergenic coatings as an alternative to nickel coatings, which can cause nickel allergy. The coating stands out due to its stainless steel-like appearance against a light glossy surface.

We recommend using a tin/nickel surface treatment because of its exceptional corrosion resistance and ability to be used in harsh environments that can cause discoloration, such as nitric or hydrochloric acid. The coating has excellent concealment properties and is a procedure that can be used for a wide range of industrial applications in the electronics and pharmaceutical industries. It's made of a 65% tin/35% nickel alloy. One of the unique advantages of tin alloy for electronics plating, is its excellent solderability, which is critical in many electronic manufacturing applications.
