Pearl nickel has a wear-resistant surface.

Pearl nickel can be made in a semi-glossy and a semi-matte finish. Both types are often combined with chrome.

Pearl nickel is also called satin nickel, pearl nickel or matte nickel.

Typical layer thickness:

0.1-2.5 µm.

Appearance:

Light, greyish surface. Semi-glossy to matte surface, depending on the finish of the raw material. The raw material is of great importance for the end result.

Application:

Pearl nickel is typically used for decorative purposes. In addition, it provides a hard and reflection-free surface.

Material:

Pearl nickel can be deposited on steel, copper and brass.

Combination coating:

Pearl nickel can be combined with e.g. gold, chrome or anthracite depending on the desired color, finish and layer thickness.

Suitability:

Partially protects against corrosion, provides a hard and scratch-resistant surface, and prevents reflection.
